Cheap Internet Update

Friday 18th May 2007

TAD have announced an unlimited dialup plan for $5.50 per month with a $27.50 once off connection fee for holders of pension or health care cards. The link is: http://www.tadaustconnect.org.au or phone on 1300 735 439.

They are also offering a free dialup internet service if you bundle your home phone line with them but the local call costs look expensive so you would need to do your sums!

2006 Cheney DVD "CFS: The Heart of the Matter" Released

Tuesday 31st October 2006

The Dallas Fort Worth CFIDS Group has released the 2006 Dr Paul Cheney MD Ph D Seminar DVD:

http://www.dfwcfids.org/videos/video200609cheney_about.shtml

He has done alot of work since the 2005 Seminar and this is definitely a case of the more you look, the more you find. 80% of his patients had a patent foramen ovale (an open hole in the heart that should have closed at birth) secondary to CFS - don't panic as there appears to be treatment for the heart problems with medication! Diastolic dysfunction is still a major problem too. The physiology is very challenging so you may have to purchase the DVD for your doctor. The first 30 mins are fairly similar to the 2005 Seminar but the treatment protocol has changed significantly. The treatment section is easy viewing.

The DVD is subject to copyright and all orders must be placed via the website above. I am helping with the Australian and possibly the New Zealand distribution with a view to minimising postage costs. No, I don't make any money out of it but I did receive a copy of the DVD. The Region 0 NTSC DVD set plays on both my Mac computer and my Panasonic DVD/TV system but there should be PAL versions in a week or two.
